Category - The edison amberola line
The Amberola 1A was Edison’s first Phonograph that hid the horn within the cabinet, like Victor’s Victrola. This is the only Amberola model capable of playing both 2 and 4 minute cylinders, and this example is equipped with the rare and desirable Model “M” reproducer. An all-original example of this historic and rare Edison Phonograph. This example of the earliest Amberola features a Pooley-style cabinet with cloven feet, which are found only on the first of the Pooley cabinets. The serial numbers of the mechanism and cabinet are matching.
