Category - Edison Ideal/Idelia
The “Ideal” was publically introduced in November 1907 as the most luxurious Phonograph in the Edison line at $125.00. Two months later (January 1908), the name was changed to “Idelia.” This rare example dates from ca. October 1907-January 1908. At some point after October 1908, this Phonograph was equipped with an Amberol Attachment, a Diamond “B” reproducer, and a mahogany Music Master Cygnet horn. A fine Phonograph; very rarely found. This particular machine was formerly in the George Frow Collection.
